Before & After: Real Bucks County Jobs

Every photo below is from an actual job. No stock images, no staging. The sills in particular are worth a look, because the difference there is what separates a proper clean from a quick pass over the glass.

Before
Window sill covered in green algae and dirt before cleaning at a Bucks County home
After
The same window sill cleaned back to white after exterior window cleaning

Window sill, green algae removed

Years of algae and organic growth built into the sill and the frame corner. This is the part most people never look at until it is gone, and it is why we clean the frame and sill as part of every exterior job rather than treating them as an extra.

Before
Window sill and track green with moss before cleaning in Bucks County, PA
After
The same sill and track cleaned white after window cleaning

Sill and track, heavy organic buildup

A north facing sill that had gone green with moss and algae, with the growth running right into the track and up the siding. Scrubbed and rinsed with purified water, no pressure washer anywhere near it.

After
The same brick window sill cleaned back to bare brick

Brick sill, moss and lichen cleared

Brick sills hold moisture and grow moss and lichen faster than anything else on a house. This one came back to clean brick without damaging the mortar joints, which is exactly why we do not reach for a pressure washer on masonry.

Before
Dirty skylight glass with a cleaned test patch showing the difference, Bucks County
After
The same skylight fully cleaned and reflecting clear sky after skylight cleaning

Skylight, roof grit and mineral film

A skylight that had not been touched in years, showing a test patch part way through so you can see the actual difference in the film. Overhead glass collects far more than a vertical window because it never sheds rain.

Before
Window frame and sill packed with grit and debris before cleaning at a Bucks County home
After
The same window frame and sill cleaned back to white, with the sash opened

Window frame and sill, years of packed grit

An awning window where the sill and the frame had collected years of grit, seed debris, and dead insects. The glass alone would have looked passable. It is the frame and the sill that make the difference from inside the room.

Before
Painted window sill and brick ledge streaked with green algae before cleaning in Bucks County
After
The same sill and brick ledge cleaned back to crisp white after exterior window cleaning

Sash, sill and brick ledge on a colonial

Green algae had spread across the painted sill, down the apron and onto the brick ledge below. All of it came off with purified water and a brush, no pressure washer near the mortar joints.
