Interior Window Cleaning in Bucks County, PA
Interior window cleaning is judged differently from exterior work, and anyone who tells you otherwise has not done much of it. Outside, you are removing obvious dirt and the improvement is dramatic. Inside, the glass often looks more or less fine until the afternoon sun comes through at a low angle and lights up every haze mark, fingerprint arc, and streak from the last time somebody went at it with a paper towel and a spray bottle.
Getting interior glass genuinely streak free is a technique problem, not a product problem. It comes down to the right amount of solution, a clean squeegee edge, overlapping passes, and detailing the perimeter of every pane before the water has a chance to dry. Interior work is done by hand rather than with the pole system, because indoors the job is as much about protecting the room as it is about the glass.
That second half is what decides whether you want us back. Your floors, your sills, your furniture, and your window treatments all need looking after, and we would rather spend the extra ten minutes covering a room properly than explain a watermark afterwards.

What's included in an interior clean
Every interior pane, streak free
Washed and squeegeed with the perimeter detailed, so there is no drying line left along the edge of the glass where the frame meets the pane.
Floors and furniture protected
Drop cloths go down under every window before any liquid comes out. Furniture that sits tight against a window gets moved out and put back.
Shoe covers worn indoors
From the front door onward, every visit, without being asked. On carpet and on hardwood alike.
Sills and tracks detailed
The interior sill and the lower track are vacuumed and wiped. This is where dust, pet hair, and dead insects collect and it is very visible once the glass is clear.
Window treatments handled with care
Blinds are raised, curtains are drawn back, and both go back the way we found them. We will not force a fragile or seized mechanism, we will tell you instead.
Fingerprints, nose prints, and pet marks
Low level marks on sliders and patio doors are part of the job, not an exception to it.
Our process, start to finish
Exactly how the job runs when we turn up.
Shoe covers on before we come through the door
Not after we are inside. We also confirm where you would rather we did not go, and whether any pets need a door kept shut.
We plan the route room by room
We work through the house in an order that keeps our equipment out of your way and means we are not carrying wet gear back across rooms we have finished.
Drop cloths down, treatments back, furniture moved
Everything under and around the window is protected or moved before any solution is applied.
Glass is washed and squeegeed
Solution on, scrubbed, then pulled off in overlapping squeegee passes. Small divided lights are done individually with a detailing tool rather than a full size blade.
Every pane perimeter is detailed
The edges are wiped immediately, before water sitting in the corner can dry into the line that makes an otherwise good job look poor.
Sills and tracks are vacuumed and wiped
Loose debris is vacuumed out first so it does not turn to mud when it meets a damp cloth.
Everything goes back where it was
Furniture returned, blinds set back to the height they were at, curtains rehung, drop cloths lifted carefully so nothing on them ends up on your floor.
We look at it with you, in the real light
We walk the rooms with you and check the glass at an angle. If anything shows, it gets redone before we pack up.
What affects the price
No dollar figures here, every property is different. These are the honest factors that move a quote up or down, so you know what we're looking at when we walk your property.
Number of panes
Same as outside. A divided-light sash with twelve small lights is twelve pieces of glass to wash and twelve perimeters to detail.
Access inside the room
A window behind a sofa, a bed, a large plant, or a home office setup takes real time to reach safely. Clearing what you can before we arrive keeps the quote down.
Window treatments
Heavy drapes, plantation shutters, and fixed valances all have to be worked around carefully.
Condition of sills and tracks
Tracks that have not been cleared in years hold a surprising amount of packed debris and take longer than the glass itself.
How long since the last cleaning
Interior film builds slowly from cooking, heating, candles, and fireplaces. Older buildup needs a second pass.
Number of stories
Interior work on upper floors is straightforward, but stairs and carrying equipment between levels still adds time.
How often should interior windows be cleaned?
Once or twice a year suits most households. Many of our customers book interior and exterior together in the spring, then exterior only in the autumn, because the outside gets dirty faster than the inside and it does not always make sense to pay for both twice.
Book interior work more often if you have a wood burning fireplace, cook a lot on gas, have dogs that greet people at the window, or have small children at hand height on the sliders. All four leave marks that build up much faster than ordinary household dust.
The other honest signal is simply the light. If you find yourself noticing haze on a bright afternoon, it is time. That low angle winter and late summer sun is the most unforgiving test any interior glass gets.
Interior Cleaning questions
- Do I need to be home for interior window cleaning?
- Someone needs to let us in and lock up afterwards, but you do not have to follow us around. Plenty of customers give us access and get on with their day, or arrange for a neighbour or property manager to handle the door. We will always confirm the arrangement with you before the day rather than turning up and hoping.
- Will you move my furniture and blinds?
- Yes, within reason. We move ordinary furniture away from the window and put it back, and we raise blinds and draw curtains as needed. What we will not do is force a seized blind mechanism, move something genuinely heavy on our own, or handle anything fragile or valuable. In those cases we will ask you first.
- Do you wear shoe covers?
- Every visit, from the front door onward, without being asked. We also put drop cloths under every window before any solution comes out. Protecting the room is part of the job, not a courtesy we add on request.
- Why do my windows streak when I clean them myself?
- Almost always one of three things: too much solution, a cloth or paper towel that leaves lint and just redistributes the film, or letting the water dry before the edges get wiped. Squeegee technique with a clean rubber edge and immediate perimeter detailing is what removes streaking. It is a method, not a magic product.
