- What is a water fed pole, and why do you use one?
- It is an extendable pole with a soft brush head that feeds purified water to the glass while we scrub from the ground. The water passes through three stages of filtration and comes out completely deionized, meaning it carries no dissolved minerals. Because there is nothing in the water, there is nothing left behind when it dries, so glass dries spot free with no squeegee marks. It also means no ladders leaning on your siding, gutters, or garden beds for most of the job, and it reaches third storey glass safely.
- Won't my windows spot if you leave them wet?
- Not with deionized water, and this is the part that surprises people most. Spotting is caused by dissolved minerals in ordinary tap water being left behind as the water evaporates. Our three stage filtration strips those out completely, so what is left on the glass is pure water that evaporates and leaves nothing at all. We test the output before we start, because water that is not fully deionized would defeat the whole point.
- How often should I have my windows cleaned?
- Twice a year suits most Bucks County homes: once in spring after the pollen drops, and once in autumn once the leaves are down. Go up to three times a year if you are under mature trees, run irrigation that hits the glass, or live on a busy road. Once a year is fine for a sheltered house with newer windows. Commercial storefronts are a different case and are usually monthly or quarterly.
- Do you clean windows in the winter?
- Yes. We work through the Bucks County winter on any day that is above freezing, using cold weather methods that will not ice up on the glass. Winter is actually a good time to book, because the low sun means you notice your windows more and our schedule is more open than it is in spring.
- How long does a typical job take?
- A standard single storey home with exterior only is usually two to three hours. A two storey home inside and out, with screens, is more often a half day. Larger properties, houses with a lot of divided-light sash, or anything with a sunroom or multiple skylights can run a full day. We will give you a realistic time estimate with your quote rather than a vague window.
- Do I need to be home while you work?
- Not for exterior work. We just need gate access and an outdoor spigot for the filtration system. For interior work someone needs to let us in and lock up afterwards, but you do not have to follow us around, and plenty of customers give us access and get on with their day. We will confirm the arrangement with you before the day rather than turning up and hoping.
- Will you protect my floors and furniture indoors?
- Always. Shoe covers go on at the front door, every visit, without being asked. Drop cloths go down under every window before any solution comes out, and furniture sitting tight against a window gets moved out and put back. Protecting the room is part of the job, not an extra.
- Can you remove hard water stains?
- In most cases yes. Sprinkler and runoff spotting is mineral deposit sitting on the glass and a dedicated treatment lifts it. What cannot be undone is etching, where deposits have sat long enough to bite into the glass surface itself. That mark is physically in the pane. We will tell you which one you have before we start, not after.
- Do you repair damaged screens, or only clean them?
- We clean screens, we do not re-screen or rebuild frames. What we do is tell you clearly which screens have failed and why: a tear, brittle spline letting the mesh pull loose, or a bent frame that will never sit square. You get a straight condition report so you know exactly which openings need replacing rather than guessing.
- Do you work on three storey homes? Is it safe?
- Yes, and this is where the pole system matters most. Third storey exterior glass is reached from the ground rather than from a ladder, which removes the most dangerous part of the traditional method entirely. We assess access before quoting: ground conditions, obstacles, and what is underneath. If something genuinely cannot be reached safely we will tell you and stop rather than take a risk with your property or ourselves.
- Are you licensed and insured?

- Do you clean commercial properties, and can we book a recurring schedule?
- Yes to both. We clean storefronts, restaurants, offices, and multi unit buildings across Bucks County, and most commercial clients are on a recurring monthly or bi-weekly schedule. We usually work early, before opening, so there is no disruption to your customers. Tell us your hours and we will fit around them.
- What happens if it rains right after you clean my windows?
- Clean glass does not spot the way dirty glass does. Rain on a properly cleaned pane mostly sheets off and dries clear, because there is no film left for it to carry into streaks. That surprises people, but it is the main reason we do not reschedule for a forecast. If a storm genuinely leaves your windows looking poor within a few days of our visit, call us and we will come back out.
- How do quotes work, and are they free?
- Quotes are free and there is no obligation. Send the form or call and we will ask about the number of windows, the number of stories, screens, and anything unusual like a sunroom or skylights. For most homes we can quote accurately from that. For larger or more complex properties we will come and look. Either way you get a clear number up front, no hourly surprises.
- What does the satisfaction guarantee actually mean?
- It means we walk the finished work with you before we pack up, looking at the glass from the angle you actually see it from, in that day's light. If something is not right, we redo it there and then. If you spot something after we have left, call us and we will come back. We do not consider a job finished because the invoice is written.
- What kinds of windows can you clean?
- All of them: double hung, casement, bay and bow, storm windows, French, picture, sliders, transoms, and skylights. That includes historic divided-light sash where each opening holds a dozen or more small panes, which we hand finish pane by pane. If you have something unusual, describe it when you call and we will tell you honestly whether we can handle it.
